The day will be spent seeing the best of what Marrakech has to offer. Inside the city's walls, you may learn about the fascinating history of this beautiful pink metropolis. The Koutoubia Mosque is a sight to see, with its square minaret and shining copper domes. You'll take it easy as you stroll through the busy alleys, which are lined with mosques, traditional bakeries, antique hotels, and wooden fountains. The stunning Ben Youssef Madrassa, one of the largest theological colleges in northern Africa, was built in a Moorish style. You may reminisce about simpler times in the lush pleasure gardens and sumptuous rooms of the Bahia Palace. Return to your hotel or riad for dinner and an overnight stay after spending the day at Jamaa El Fana square, a popular site for musicians, storytellers, snake charmers, and entertainers with dancing monkeys.

We will rise early to commence our journey to Ait Benhaddou, making it a priority before our breakfast. To reach this renowned destination, we will traverse the scenic Tizi N Tichka mountain pass, unveiling the most famous Kasbah in Morocco. Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, captivates with its panoramic clay fortress adorned with exquisite architecture. Presently, this Kasbah is divided into two sections: one in ruins and the other still inhabited, showcasing a harmonious blend of nature and human ingenuity. Its otherworldly location grants it a mesmerizing allure. Our lunch will be savored amidst this remarkable setting. Ait Benhaddou Kasbah has attracted international recognition through its feature in numerous prominent films, further establishing its worthiness of your time, effort, and presence. In the afternoon, we will journey towards Dades Gorges, traversing breathtaking vistas along the way.

Following breakfast, we will embark on a journey to Todra Gorges, a narrow valley nestled between towering mountains. Here, we will be immersed in unforgettable moments, surrounded by panoramic mountain vistas and the serene beauty of the Oasis that adds a delightful touch to this tranquil valley. Our stay in Todra Gorges will extend until mid-day, allowing ample time to relish the surroundings before we enjoy a satisfying lunch.

From there, we will continue our expedition towards Merzouga, passing through Tinjdad, a vital center and village that holds significant economic importance in the area. Our route will take us through small Berber villages until we reach Erfoud, known as the city of fossils, where natural stones are transformed into exquisite decorative pieces. Our journey will also lead us through Rissani, a bustling city renowned for its vibrant market, before finally arriving in Merzouga, the gateway to the desert.

In Merzouga, we will embark on a camel ride through the golden dunes, venturing into the heart of the desert. There, we will spend a captivating night in a desert camp, surrounded by the awe-inspiring panorama of starlit skies. The evening will be filled with enchantment as we indulge in the rhythmic beats of the Berber drum, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

After enjoying our breakfast, we will set out to explore the area. Our first stop will be the village of Khamlia, also known as the Gnaoua Village, where descendants of Sudanese slaves reside. We will have the opportunity to spend time with the locals, learning about their culture and experiencing the captivating rhythms of Gnaoua Music. A delicious lunch will be served in the village before we return to Merzouga.

In the afternoon, we will embark on a camel ride, venturing deep into the Sahara Desert. As we journey across the mesmerizing dunes of sand, we will witness the breathtaking reflections of the sunset and marvel at the celestial display of stars at night. Accompanied by the rhythmic beats of the Berber drum, we will arrive at our destination—a luxurious desert camp. There, we will indulge in a delectable dinner and spend a tranquil night immersed in the enchanting ambiance of the desert.

On the six day of our desert tour from Marrakech, we will bid farewell to the serene desert landscape and return to Merzouga on camelback. From there, we will embark on a scenic drive to Ifrane, a captivating city nestled in the Atlas Mountains and often referred to as the "Little Switzerland" of Morocco due to its alpine-like setting and occasional snowfall during winter.

Depending on the schedule, we can enjoy lunch in Ifrane or opt to make a stopover in the picturesque Ziz Valley. This route offers breathtaking vistas, including dramatic gorges, golden dunes, and mesmerizing oases within the Tafilalt region. You will be captivated by the lush palm trees that flourish along the cliff faces, creating a stunning contrast against the rose-tinted golden sandstone buildings and the winding gorges that adorn this picturesque valley.

Our journey continues as we make our way to Fes, a vibrant and culturally rich city. By approximately 5:00 or 6:00 p.m., we will arrive in Fes, where our modern air-conditioned minibus (or minivan for shared tours) will drop you off at your hotel or riad. It marks the end of our fascinating adventure, leaving you with unforgettable memories of the stunning landscapes and vibrant cities of Morocco.

After a hearty breakfast, we'll have you meet our local guide and set out on a daylong excursion of Fes, one of the world's oldest imperial capitals, which was established in 808 as the centre of Moroccan government, religion, and culture. The Golden Doors Tour has started at the Royal Palace. A wall around a historic medina is shown to us later from an elevated location. Then we'll go outside on foot to experience all sorts of repulsive things for ourselves. Several mosques and madrassas await you on your journey to the tanners' neighbourhood. Without stopping for lunch, we'll continue with our journey and visit a neighbourhood filled with artists. Fes has been called the "city of artisans" since the early modern era, and it is well-deserved because to the skill and knowledge its citizens brought with them from Spain and their dedication to preserving Andalusian art and culture. Enjoy a meal and an overnight stay at the hotel or riad.

Following breakfast, we will leave Fes and continue in the direction of Chefchaouen, making stops along the way at the Roman remains of Volubilis and the holy town of Moulay Idriss I, which is where the founder of Islam in Morocco lies entombed. Chefchaouen is located in the Rif Mountains. Following lunch, we will continue on to Meknes, which was established at the tail end of the 17th century by Moulay Ismail and is sometimes referred to as "The Moroccan Versailles." Meknes was created by Moulay Ismail. The night will be spent at a riad in Chefchaouen.

After breakfast, we'll left for Tangier via Tetouan, a place known as "The White Pigeon" because it was home to Jews who had been kicked out of Spain in 1492. The city is the heart of Andalusian Morocco. Visit the beautiful "white" city of Tetouan, which the locals call "The daughter of Granada." Visit one of the busy souks, the Guersa Kebira square. Then we stop at the Medina, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most interesting places in the country. See also the Royal Palace, which is a great example of Spanish-Moorish building. Keep going to Tangier, eat dinner, and stay the night.

Our driver will transport you to the airport in Tangier on the tenth and last day of our Marrakech-based vacation. The conclusion of our services for your 10-day trip across the desert of Merzouga from Marrakech to Tangier in Morocco.
