After departing from Casablanca's Mohammed V Airport, you will arrive at the Cornish of Ain Diab. The second-largest mosque in the world, the Hassan II mosque, is accessible to those who do not practise Islam. Casablanca accommodation stay.
This morning, following breakfast at your Casablanca lodging, we will depart in the direction of Chefchaouen. In accordance with the itinerary for the day, you will travel to Rabat to visit some of the city's most intriguing attractions, including the "Royal Palace," "Hassan Tower," "Oudaya Kasbah," and "the Mausoleum of Mohamed V." Additionally, stops will be made at the most significant locations along the route. After that, we continue until we reach Chefchaouen, the "blue city." In the city of Chefchaouen, spend the night in a riad or hotel.
This day is dedicated to exploring Chefchaouen's most famous landmarks. Visit Chefchaouen, the most famous tourist site in Morocco, immediately after the breakfast served at your accommodation. The blue paint that covers the Medina in Chefchaouen is perhaps the town's most distinctive characteristic. After entering the Medina of Chefchaouen, climb to the top of the mountain where the famous "Ras El Maa Waterfall" is located to get a view of the rocky topography of the city. As you make your way to the top, you will go by a number of famous sites and buildings, including the placid region known as "Outa El Hamam," which is home to a number of restaurants and cafes. The "Kasbah" in Chefchaouen is a walled fortress dating back to the 18th century that has been renovated and has a magnificent garden. The "Grand Spanish Mosque," which dates back to the 15th century, should be your last stop. The night was spent in Chefchaouen.
After breakfast today, we will be leaving Chefchaouen and travelling to the royal city of Fes. Today's journey will take travellers via the city of Ouazzane. We will make a diversion to the Roman outpost of Volubilis, which is located south of Morocco, to examine the ruins and gaze in awe at the mosaic flooring that used to decorate the imperial houses.
Meknes is the next place on our itinerary, and while there, we will see the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail and the Sahrij Souani in addition to the biggest gate in Morocco, which is known as Bab El Mansour. You will have the opportunity to tour Meknes after lunch, which will be served in a restaurant located near to "the square of El Hedim" in Meknes. The following day, we will make our way back to Fes and check into the hotel (or riad) where we will be staying for the night.
The day starts with a trip to the Medina, which is one of the world's largest walled cities. We're going to check out the little alleys with fruit, spices, Berber blankets and other arts. We'll visit a few churches, like the Mosque Quaraouiyine, which was built in 859, and the Mosque of Andalusia.
Next, we'll go to the city's beginnings and see places like the Nejjarine Fountain, madrassas (Koranic schools), the Batha (Museum of the Palace of Fine Arts), tanneries, and souks like the Souk Attarine Bab Boujloud, which is full of blue and green ceramics. Another place to go is to the door to the Royal Palace. Your full-day tour of Fes starts with a visit to the city's famous ceramics workshop and ends with stunning views of the Medina, which is the old part of the city. Stay the night in a riad or hotel in the Fes Medina.
Our 15 DAYS TOUR FROM CASABLANCA TO MARRAKECH commences with a scenic drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains, reaching Ifrane, often referred to as the "Switzerland of Morocco" due to its picturesque resemblance to a Swiss ski resort. Next, we venture to the cedar forest, where we encounter and interact with the lively Barbary monkeys, capturing memorable photographs with them. Continuing our route southward, we pass through charming Berber villages and traverse the countryside, witnessing nomadic shepherds tending to their flocks amidst the vast terrain. After a refreshing lunch break in Midelt, we proceed through the Talghmt Pass, treated to panoramic views of the stunning hidden oasis in the Ziz Valley, adorned with palm trees and mud villages. As the day progresses, we reach the Sahara Desert in the late afternoon, where we settle into our hotel for a delightful dinner and a restful overnight stay.
Following breakfast, we will commence our desert adventure with a half-day excursion into the Sahara. Our first stop will be a visit to nomadic communities residing in traditional tents amidst the vast Sahara desert. Immerse yourself in their way of life, engage in conversation, and share a cup of tea with them. Continuing our journey, we will explore former French-operated mines, delving into their historical significance. Next, we will venture to the village of Khamlia, inhabited by black Berber people tracing their ancestry back to Sudan and Mali. Here, we will have the opportunity to experience the captivating Gnaoua music and enjoy a delightful lunch. Prior to our camel ride, we will marvel at the beauty of an oasis on the fringes of the Sahara desert. After a brief respite, we embark on a camel trek, traversing the majestic towering dunes of the erg-Chebbi desert. As the sun begins its descent, witness a breathtaking sunset atop one of the lofty dunes, eventually arriving at our desert camp nestled in the heart of the Sahara. Following a delicious dinner, indulge in an enchanting evening of Berber music performed by local nomads beneath a canopy of shimmering stars.
To fully embrace the breathtaking beauty of the Sahara, an early morning wake-up call is essential, allowing you to witness the sunrise of a lifetime. Mount the camels and journey back to the hotel, reuniting with your driver. Our westward route takes us through Rissani, a city once renowned as a vital trading hub for caravans traversing Morocco and neighboring countries. If our timing coincides with the day markets held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, we'll have the opportunity to explore the largest souk in the region. Continuing our expedition, we reach Erfoud, a town famous for its fossil discoveries. Driving through picturesque Atlas mountains and charming towns, we make our way to the enchanting Todra Valley—a verdant oasis encircled by ancient adobe villages. Enjoy a delightful lunch in the town before venturing approximately 15 kilometers to reach the awe-inspiring Todra Gorges. Here, vertical cliffs soar up to 300 meters, while natural springs cascade with water. Our journey proceeds through the captivating Dades Valley, where you'll marvel at the sandcastle-like formations and the peculiar rock structures affectionately known as "monkey toes." Conclude the day with an overnight stay in a hotel or riad offering picturesque views of the Dades Valley.
After a satisfying breakfast, we embark on our journey towards Ouarzazate, traversing captivating destinations along the way. Our first stop takes us to the famous snaky road, renowned for its appearances in numerous car advertisements. Next, we explore the impressive Dades Gorges, marveling at their striking rock formations. Venturing off the beaten path, we arrive at Boutghrar, a place where nature's beauty harmonizes with vibrant colors. Here, we have the opportunity to visit nomads residing in caves, sharing a warm cup of tea with them. Continuing our expedition, we reach El Kalaa Mgouna, also known as Rose Town, where locals annually collect over 400 tons of rose petals, which are skillfully processed into exquisite rosewater, creams, and perfumes at local cooperatives. This vibrant town hosts a festival in May, celebrating the blooming roses. Enjoy a delightful lunch in the town before proceeding along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs towards Skoura. Skoura is renowned for its captivating kasbahs, and we visit the 17th-century Kasbah of Amridil. Driving through the lush oases of Skoura, we ultimately make our way to Ouarzazate, where we will indulge in a delicious dinner and spend the night in a comfortable hotel or riad, ready to continue our adventure.
Our day begins with a visit to the renowned cinema studios in Ouarzazate, often referred to as the "Hollywood of Africa." These studios have served as the backdrop for numerous films, including popular productions like Game of Thrones and Prison Break Season 4. Ouarzazate is also notable for being home to the largest solar power station in Africa and is renowned for its handicrafts, such as wooden gates, silverware, and rugs. Continuing our journey, we proceed to the iconic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This historic fortress has been featured in various international movies, including Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and Game of Thrones. As our adventure nears its end, we embark on a breathtaking drive through the scenic Tizi n'Tichka Pass, reaching an altitude of 2260 meters as we traverse the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to admire the unique Berber villages that dot the landscape, we arrive at your hotel in Marrakesh.
We will be departing Marrakech for the seaside city of Essaouira in the morning after breakfast at your accommodation. We were at Essaouira for sightseeing after a 2.5-hour car ride. The Medina's winding alleys are lined with stalls selling a wide variety of artisanal goods. This "Windy City" attracts surfers from all over the globe. Although still a tiny town, Essaouira is a historical treasure trove, having seen various civilizations and bearing the architectural marks of the Portuguese era.
Its opulence and the colour of its doors and walls—blue and white—have earned it the nickname "Gem of the Atlantic" of Morocco. We also plan to visit a women's cooperative that makes argan oil. The oil, used in cooking, cosmetics, and medicine, is extracted from these seeds. The Medina or the harbour will be the setting for lunch. In the afternoon, we'll make our way back to Marrakech. Spend the night at a hotel or riad.
A day trip from Marrakech to the Ouzoud waterfalls starts in the morning. The Ouzoud waterfalls are about 170 kilometres northeast of Marrakech. There, you'll find beautiful waterfalls that are about 110 metres high and a beautiful landscape full of birds and monkeys. A native guide leads a full-day tour of Marrakech after breakfast. After a laid-back start to the morning, we will go towards Casablanca, making pit stops at some of the city's most well-known and well-liked sights along the way. As part of our trip, we will stop at a scenic overlook where we can take in the city of Casablanca in its entirety. Our first stop will be at the Mosque of Hassan II, then we will go on a stroll around the Medina to get a feel for how people live in this city on a day-to-day basis, we will make a pit break in the Habous area to do some shopping, and we will complete our trip at the Mohammed V square to see the administrative buildings.
On the 15 and last day of his vacation, which began with him spending fifteen days in Morocco, he will make his way to the airport in order to catch his flight home.
